Bought this as I saw it recommended in a review of photo editiors for Mac. It doesn't work with the current version of photos. The instructions on how to use the app aren't applicable to the current version of Photos, but I worked out how to open the picture I wasnted to edit in this app, only to get the message 'Sorry your image seems not to be supported :('.
Don't waste your money on this! I'm annoyed to have wasted £9.99 on an app which really shouldn't be on the app store if it doesn't work
If you have a bridge camera or any small sensor camera and shoot RAW this is an invaliuable tool. The Prime Noise Reduction is excellent and works very well with Photos. 'Normal' noise reduction is good too but you may have that elsewhere.
It's worth is for the above but also has lens correction and a haze reduction option. Just build it into the workflow and it becomes second nature. The only issue is the time it takes to render the raw file but that may be my machine and that it is working on 20mp pictures.
It installed with no trouble; and appeared on the edit menu as it should. I’ve tried it on images from three cameras - Lumix G5 and TZ60 and Apple iPhone 5. It recognised all three and surprised me with the lens corrections it made. However - the corrections look right. There’s a very handy comparison tool to the original - just hold the M key down (or P for noise reduction). I’ve tried both G5 and TZ60 raw files - nasty hazy ones - and these were much improved. Noise reduction takes a while if you choose the “really good” option - but it cleaned a noisy picture up well. Jpegs also benfited from it, those there are naturaly fewer options than a RAW file. Overall a nice tool, and very useful addition to Photos.
